Steady State Liquid Permeameter
The PMI Steady State Liquid Permeameter is used to measure the permeability of samples such as oil-well cores, tight gas sandstones, and other low-permeability rocks. Liquids such as brine, oil, and other compatible fluids are used as the permeating medium.

Overview
The PMI Steady State Liquid Permeameter is used to measure the permeability of samples such as oil-well cores, tight gas sandstones, and other low-permeability rocks. Liquids such as brine, oil, and other compatible fluids are used as the permeating medium. The instrument measures the pressure drop and flow rate through the sample during the test. A rock sample is placed in the sample chamber where confining pressure is applied. While the sample is under confining stress, permeability-related properties are measured.
The PMI Steady State Liquid Permeameter determines permeability characteristics of core samples under controlled confining pressure. The PMI Automated Liquid Permeability System is specially designed for testing rock core samples. Core samples are placed in a Hassler-type core holder which compresses the sample to the desired confining pressure. Tests are typically conducted at ambient temperature. Both non-aqueous fluids (oil, kerosene) and aqueous fluids (brine or equivalent) can be used. The instrument measures the flow rate of a known liquid to calculate permeability. The system is fully automated. Test execution, data acquisition, data storage, and data management are handled by PMI software. Operator involvement is minimal, and the instrument is robust and requires minimal maintenance.
- User-friendly Windows-based software controls the instrument, performs measurements, collects data, and generates reports; manual control is also available.
- PC system for data acquisition includes an Intel Core i5 processor, 2 GB RAM, 300 GB HDD, 17″ monitor, latest operating system, and MS Office.
- Real-time graphical display shows test status and results during operation.
- Computer processing and data storage.
- Non-destructive testing.
- All wetted parts are made of 316 stainless steel for durability when working with brine, water, refined oil, or dead oil.

Helium Porosimeter
The instrument is designed to accurately measure the effective porosity of plug-sized rock samples using Boyle's Law. The sample is placed in a sample cell.

Advanced Pulse Decay Permeameter (APDP-10K)
The PMI Pulse Decay Permeameter is designed to fully automatically measure gas permeability of tight rocks, gas shale, or oil shale samples with ultra-low permeability. Gas permeability is determined using the pulse decay technique, which allows measurements that are faster and more accurate compared with the conventional steady-state method.

Educational Liquid Permeameter (ELP-100A)
The PMI Liquid Permeameter measures the steady-state permeability of plug-sized rock samples by flowing a single-phase liquid through the core sample. During testing, a core plug is placed in the core holder and the confining pressure is applied.

Educational Gas Permeameter
The PMI Educational Gas Permeameter is designed for instructional use in universities and other teaching institutions. The instrument features a robust design suitable for repeated student use.
